Herck goes British F3 in 2005!
Na het winnen van de Spaanse en Italiaanse titels in de FRenault 1600 gaat de 16 jarige Michael Herck van start in het Britse F3 kampioenschap. Hij zal uitkomen voor het huisteam van papa, Junior Racing Team. De wagen zal een Dallara-Opel zijn in class A. Dat is de klasse met de wagens van 2005.

Benieuwd of hij ingezette lijn met prestaties kan volhouden. E.e.a. te lezen in Autosport 13-01-05

Supper nieuws!

Volgens mij de ideale keuze voor hem na z'n tittels van vorig jaar, een betere keuze is er niet denk ik.

Want euro-F3 is dubbel zo duur dan UK-F3, en het niveau van de engelsen licht nog steeds zeer hoog.

Best wel weer grappig dat het team van z'n papa steeds de wagens bijft runne waar z'n zoon in gaat rijden. Ze hebben al lang aangetoont dat ze er meer dan in staat voor waren, maar de stap van FR1600 naar F3 is niet niks qua techniek en ervaring in setup en data...
Maar aangezien papa Herck centen genoeg heeft, zal hij wel wat ervaren F3 personeel aanwerven, en zal z'n zoon wel weer met top materiaal en in een top kader kunnen gaan racen...

Waarom heten deze motoren niet Vauxhall ipv Opel in Engeland?

Eindelijk nog eens een jonge talentvolle Belg met de nodige centen achter zich. Kunnen we alleen maar aanmoedigen. Ik ga z'n resultaten volgend jaar in ieder geval volgen.

Ik geloof dat ie gezien zijn leeftijd nog niet van start mag gaan in het Euro F3. Geloof dat het eerste plan was om deel te nemen aan het Italiaans F3 kampioenschap plus op de vrijdagen testen bij de Euro F3 gasten. Daar zien ze dus vanaf..........

Wonderwel blijft Greg Franchi actief in de F3 Euroseries, die moet dan trouwe sponsors hebben Resultaten in 2004 waren nou niet bepaald super te noemen bij topteam Signature. Dit jaar zal hij rijden voor Prema. Fonte delle informazioni: italiaracing.net

Tja, Franchi.............nu zegt een shake-down niet alles maar bij de eerste testen met de Dallara F305 voor het Prema Powerteam was Franchi wederom de traagste van het stel. Maar liefst 0.7 seconden trager dan zijn teammaat Perera.

OK, Franchi is niet de snelste die moeder natuur ooit heeft voortgebracht.................maar hij wel geen grote bek Boven de Moerdijk is er weer eentje opgedoken die denkt dat wij het niet snappen. Zijn naam? Giedo van der Garde

In diverse (Nederlandse) media is te lezen dat hij de samenwerking heeft opgezegd met het Renault Driver Development programma. Giedo, is het niet misschien andersom? Zijn resultaten waren niet slecht maar ook niet super...............kan me niet voorstellen dat iemand zijn contact met een F1-constructeur gaat opzeggen. Altijd lachen die opgeklopte press-releases

Ik heb ergens gelezen dat hij door Renault op de reserve lijst is gezet en dat v/d Garde daarom besloten had om RDD te verlaten om niet aan het begin van het seizoen met lege handen te staan. Maar het zou me niets verbazen of hij is aan de kant gezet. Al moeten we overigens niet vergeten dat hij 2e beste rookie was in Euro F3. Dus heel slecht is hij ook weer niet.

Op 24&25 maart is er een collectieve test van de Euro F3 series op Spa. Dus wie een dagje vrij heeft in de week, leuke dagvulling

Op papa's familiepagina lezen dat de kleine ook zal deelnemen aan races in het Duits en Oostenrijks F3 kampioeschap.

Heel wat Paddockers liepen vandaag rond in Zolder, er was er echter eentje die meer van Formule wagens houdt en dus ongestoord in Spa heeft kunnen rondlopen.

Wat is dit? Een Martini?? Zeer apart aero-dingetjes voor een F3.


Het befaamde plekje in La Source was weer bereikbaar.


Ook in de F BMW treffen we de mooie RBR junior look aan.

De eerste foto is de SLC van Signature, in dit geval bestuurd door Fabio Carbone.

De witte wagen is de Mygale van Holzer bestuurd door Thomas Holzer.

De tijden van beide wagens zijn tot nu toe teleurstellend. De snelste Dallara was vandaag rond in 2'15"034. De snelste SLC in 2'17"558 en de Mygale zelfs in 2'21"530 .

Hmm, nog niet echt snel die Mygale??? Maar waar is Jan Heylen, hij heeft de Mygale toch getest?

De SLC zie ik tegen het einde van het seizoen wel vooraan eindigen, zeker met een Carbone als piloot, ervaring zat in de F3!

In ieder geval 15 mei sta ik achter de hekken in Francorchamps....
