Ale vooruit, ze zijn toch weer vertrokken! De belgen vertrekken blijkbaar toch weer allemaal , want ze staan toch niet bij de opgevers. Ben benieuwd hoe ze het er vandaag afbrengen ...

Henrard rijdt precies aan een laag tempo volgens iriTrack, zou hij probs hebben ??? Laat ons hopen van niets te ernstig!

Opnieuw problemen voor Sainz

12:43 - Sainz still stopped
Spaniard Carlos Sainz is still stopped at km 26, apparently suffering mechanical problems. The winner of three specials on this Dakar has been stopped for the last 30’.

13:08 - Rear wheel problems for Sainz
Carlos Sainz stopped at km 26 appears to have seriously damaged his rear wheel after backing up and hitting a big rock. The Spaniard is currently being helped out by his assistance vehicle. Meanwhile, Bruno Saby who suffered serious mechanical problems yesterday, started the day’s special.

Het wordt weeral een slechte dag voor VW blijkbaar Sainz staat nog steeds stil met technische problemen en de best geplaatste VW rijder, Kleinschmidt, heeft CP1 nog niet bereikt

Kleinschmidt staat inderdaad stil. Volgens iriTrack is Henrard even bij haar gestopt, maar doorgereden. Ofwel is het nu gemaakt ofwel wacht ze op assistentie truck.

Wees daar maar niet zo zeker van dat ze allemaal vertrokken zijn. Loix staat nog stil op SS7, met de truck van Essers naast zich. Die achterbrug stelt precies toch redelijk wat poblemen. Wauters schijnt toch nog vertrokken te zijn, maar in welke conditie? Heeft hij nog wisselstukken, of wordt het weer een nacht in de woestijn? En Henrard zal weer voor babysit moeten spelen zeker? Enkel Loomans schijnt op schema te kunnen blijven rijden.

Henrard moet idd weer voor babysit spelen, of ze zouden de teamorders veranderd moeten hebben, maar dat zou me enorm verwonderen ...

Henrard is nu voor Kleinschmidt die terug in beweging is.

Ze zijn juist CP1 gepasseerd. Henrard rijdt weldegelijk nog achter Kleinschmidt die uiteindelijk 45 minuten verliest t.o.v. Peterhansel.

Henrard kan toch nog een goede zaak doen in het algemeen klassement. Als 22ste gestart en nu al 11de aan CP1.

Bij de trucks past Kamaz blijkbaar weer hetzelfde trukje toe als verleden jaar: de tweede jaagt de tegenstander op, in de hoop dat die panne krijgt ...

Sainz wordt door assistentietruck terug naar de start van de proef gesleept (en vermoedelijk dus ook naar het bivak)

De wagen en de rug van Saby lijken hersteld. Als 69ste gestart vandaag en 16de voorbij CP1 in een 8ste tijd.
